Made it through a milestone

Well, last week Neil was on a trip for work all week so my mom came to stay for a few days. We decided since we had nothing else we had to do and because Micah was already showing some signs that we would potty train Micah. I was really nervous about it and felt like it might not "take" right away and I'd have to back and try again later or something. But, he is such a good kid and went right along with it the whole time! There were a few stong-willed instances but he got over them quick once he saw all the jelly beans! We went though TONS of jelly beans last week. We started last Monday and really it only took like 2 days to really get him trained. The rest of the week was just working on and practicing him telling us when he had to go and us letting go and trusting him that he would. It was a really unique experience that I've not had before and I am glad to be on the other side of it.
By Friday of last week he was doing really well with the pee-pee but still had not pooped on the potty yet. So Saturday morning he had gone for 48 hours without pooping because he was just refusing and finally he told us he had to go. We set him on the potty and gave him lots of encouragement and he went finally! So, we took him to his favorite place that night, an indoor place that has 9 different inflatable bouncehouses. It was his third time going and it was a great reward for learning go potty. He even got to wear his underwear there that night even though I contemplated having him wear pull-ups just in case. But he went straight from diapers to underwear so that is nice. After Bounce Planet we went to Red Robin for dinner with some friends and so he got a balloon there. He drank a lot there because he was thirsty from all his bouncing so he peed twice there at the restaurant. Red Robin is located at an outdoor mall area so after eating there we went to a couple stores and while we shopped for less than 30 minutes he had to pee 3 more times! But, the big issue with that was the store we were in didn't have a bathroom so I had to carry him and walk like 2 blocks every time. I was shocked and amazed that we didn't have an accident but he's done so well it just confirmed that he was definitely ready.
Hopefully Kylie will be just as easy some day!
