We're having another baby!

I just wanted to add a quick update to let you all know that Neil and I are pregnant again with our 3rd. You will understand in a minute why I say "our third". We are due Oct. 12th, just a few days before my b-day!
Neil and I had decided early on that we would like to have our kids close together. So, back in the fall in Sept. we decided to "not prevent" anything. Well, we got pregnant in Oct. right away and found out in Nov. We were shocked because it took several months last time. I was so excited but a little overwhelmed because they were going to be 20 months apart in age. We found out on a Monday and it was the Monday before Thanksgiving. We decided to wait to tell our family til Thanksgiving. We always tell our immediate family really soon because a)I really like to know that we've got people praying for us and the baby right away b)I can't keep a secret c)if we did experience a miscarriage, we would definitely tell them anyway
I went out that week and bought a "Big Brother" shirt for Micah to wear when we arrived in town. Well, since all of our extended family was with our immediate family then they got to find out as well. We just figured that they're family and that we had no complications the first time around with Micah's pregnancy. So that was Thursday.
Well, Friday I woke up and the worst happened. We experienced a miscarriage very early in the morning. I knew right away what it was. We called the Dr. and there was nothing they could do, I wasn't even in town. But that early, 4 1/2 weeks they wouldn't have done anything anyway. We were devastated. I just couldn't believe that it was happening to me. I didn't know why God was letting us go through this. I had a really hard time with it and grieved for quite a while. I knew that it would be hard once I heard about someone else due in August and soon enough I heard about someone. That was the first hurdle. The second one was Jan. 6th which would have been my first Dr.'s appointment. I already had it scheduled and it was in my calendar. That day was really hard for me and took some time to work through. It's weird how Neil and I experienced it differently but I think because I physically went through it I took it harder. But Neil was a great support for me and I felt a lot closer to him after going through this. I knew that I couldn't share this right away, it would have been too hard to write.
I feel very blessed that God has given us another baby, even though I've worked through the fact that this one will not replace the last one. It's weird to think that in heaven we have a family of 5 already. God will not give us more than we can handle and I know I am a stronger person and have learned to rely on God more through this experience. It has truly humbled me.
